What Kind of Minivans Does Chrysler Have?
Over the past few years, some car manufacturers have started to focus more on producing SUVs rather than minivans. This can make it hard to find a reliable option if you’d prefer to drive a minivan instead. Luckily, there are some great options from Chrysler available. Below, we’ll outline the best minivans offered by Chrysler to help you decide if one of them is right for you.
2022 Chrysler Pacifica
The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica is Chrysler’s flagship minivan for 2022. This minivan has basically everything you’ll need if you’re looking for a family vehicle. To start, you’ll get a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 287 horsepower. On top of this, the EPA estimates the Pacifica should get around 31 mpg combined, making it a very fuel-efficient minivan.
When you’re purchasing a minivan, though, you’re likely concerned with the interior features and comfort. For starters, the 2022 Pacifica has plenty of interior space, along with many cubbies, cup holders, and bins for extra storage. This minivan has three rows of seats, which provide seating for either seven or eight people, depending on if you go with captain’s chairs in the second row. There’s also plenty of cargo space in the trunk, with the ability to fold down seats for even more storage when you need to haul things around.
The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica also comes with plenty of available bonus features. For example, you can get your model with a built-in vacuum cleaner to help you keep the vehicle clean. All Pacificas also come with a touch-screen display in the front that you can use to control your media or load up your favorite navigation app. You can also add in a rear-seat entertainment system to keep your passengers in the back entertained with Amazon Fire TV and streaming apps.

Finally, many people looking to buy a minivan want something that’s safe for families. If so, the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica has plenty of safety features that you’ll love. Some of the available safety features include:
- Automated emergency braking.
- Pedestrian detection.
- Blind-spot monitoring.
- Rear cross-traffic alert.
- Adaptive cruise control.
- Lane-departure warning.
In addition to all this, the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica received a five-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA.
Starting MSRP: $37,095
2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid

If you like the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica, but wish it was even more fuel-efficient, consider going with the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. This Pacifica is almost identical to the standard model, except it has a different powertrain. With this model, you’ll get a 3.6-liter V-6 engine and two electric motors, along with a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery. All of this combines to produce 260 horsepower, which is a little less than the standard version of the Chrysler Pacifica.
However, this reduction in horsepower comes with better fuel efficiency. The EPA estimates that the 2022 Pacifica Hybrid can travel up to 33 miles on electric power alone and rates it at a combined 84 MPGe. By getting the hybrid version, you can spend less money on gas and less time sitting at the pump.
Starting MSRP: $49,000
2021 Chrysler Voyager
For 2022, Chrysler no longer offers its other minivan, the Voyager, to the public. However, there are still 2021 models available. The biggest benefit of going with a 2021 Chrysler Voyager over the Pacifica is the price, especially if you can find a used or certified pre-owned option. However, despite the Voyager being significantly cheaper than the Pacifica, it still offers some great benefits.
For starters, the Voyager has a 3.6-liter engine that produces 287 horsepower, just like the Pacifica. For fuel efficiency, you can expect to get around 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, which is pretty good for a vehicle of this size.
The Voyager also has plenty of interior features. For instance, there’s a 7-inch touch-screen display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, active noise cancellation, and an optional rear-seat overhead
DVD player. There’s also a decent amount of storage space, however, not as much as you’ll find in the Pacifica. In general, if you’re looking for a reliable minivan and you don’t need all the special features that come with the Chrysler Pacifica, you may prefer the more affordable 2021 Chrysler Voyager, if you can find one.
Starting MSRP: $28,160
Benefits of Driving a Minivan

If you’re unsure of whether you should get a minivan or something else, like an SUV, there are a few clear benefits of going with a minivan. For starters, there’s the number of seats. Chrysler minivan options allow you to sit seven or eight passengers, which you can’t always do with an SUV. In addition, minivans often have more storage capabilities than SUVs, due to their larger interior and the ability to fold down seats.
Chrysler minivans also come with features that can make them a better choice as a family car compared to an SUV. For example, the Chrysler Pacifica has entertainment options for the rear seats, which is perfect for when you have younger kids and long drives. There’s also that built-in vacuum, which parents of younger kids will surely appreciate.
Finally, minivans are designed to be some of the safest vehicles on the market for families. They come loaded with all the latest safety innovations, from blind-spot monitoring and advanced air bags to pedestrian detection, among others. If you want peace of mind when you’re on the road with your family, strongly consider a Chrysler minivan.
