What to Expect as an Automotive Service Technician

  • Diagnose and repair brake, exhaust, fuel, ignition, and electrical systems
  • Perform Maintenance
  • Complete Video Inspection of Vehicle
  • Perform suspension and alignment repairs
  • Sufficiently explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to your Service Advisor
  • Be prepared to review needed repairs and test drive with customer as requested
  • Constantly learning new technical information and techniques through formal training to keep up with rapidly changing automotive technology
  • Coaching and mentoring newer Technicians to build stronger teams
  • Maintain an organized and neat service bay

Automotive Service Technician Additional Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • Basic computer literacy required
  • Valid Drivers License
  • We are a drug free workplace
  • Insurable to Drive Customers and Company Vehicles

ENTRY LEVEL TECH

$28,000 – $33,000

  • Obtain Express Level Certification through OEM
  • Tools / Starter Tool Kit provided on consignment until next level graduation, then tools become technicians

MAINTENANCE TECH

$34,000 – $41,000

$2,500 Signing Bonus Available

  • Obtain Express Level Certification through OEM
  • Learn additional services that can be completed in 10 to 12 weeks
  • Tuition reimbursement for automotive classes

C TECH

$42,000 – $55,000

$5,000 Signing Bonus Available

  • Join one of the teams in the main shop
  • Assigned a Master Level Technician to act as your mentor
  • Complete all repairs under the assistance of mentor
  • Enroll in accelerated training program

B TECH

$56,000 – $90,000

$7,500 Signing Bonus Available

  • Enroll in accelerated, expert-level training through OEM

A TECH / MASTER TECHNICIAN

$91,000 – $110,000+

  • Work directly with engineers from the OEM factories
