The Grand Cherokee has a roomy cabin with an upscale feel. Tall adult passengers can comfortably relax in the front- or second-row seats, which can also recline for long drives. If you need to install kids’ seating, there are two sets of LATCH connectors on the outermost rear seats and a tether anchor for the middle seat.

The standard seating setup includes cloth upholstery. Some of the higher trims feature massaging front-row seats, heated first- and second-row seats, and leather upholstery. If you need an extra row of passenger capacity, the three-row Grand Cherokee L would be perfect for your needs.

Grand Cherokee’s Cargo Capacity

With both rows of seats in use, you’ll have 37.7 cu ft at the rear. That’s plenty of room to load up your crossover for a weekend camping trip or carry sports equipment. If you require more storage space, you can fold down the rear row to create over 70 cu ft of space. In this setup, you can carry larger items from the hardware store.

If you need to transport larger items, such as a boat or camper, keep in mind that the Grand Cherokee is a powerful towing machine. With the proper equipment, the Grand Cherokee can pull up to 7,200 lbs.

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee’s Infotainment Tech

The Grand Cherokee’s infotainment system is led by an 8.4-inch screen and six-speaker stereo in its base setup. The infotainment system is known as Uconnect, and it’s equipped with voice recognition for ease of use when you’re focusing on the road ahead. You can add a screen for the front-seat passenger so that they can adjust audio settings or enter information into the navigation system while you stay focused on the road.

There are several connectivity options to link your devices with the Grand Cherokee’s infotainment system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard to ensure smart phone compatibility. You can upgrade to wireless versions of these features to avoid using one of the USB ports. Bluetooth connectivity and a WiFi hotspot are also standard.

You can choose from several optional upgrades to your entertainment tech. A rear-seat infotainment system gives second-row passengers their own screens to control the audio and video settings. Additionally, you can install a 10.1-inch screen in the front row and add a premium 19-speaker stereo. A navigation system and wireless device charging are two further additional extras.

Jeep Safety Features

Jeep loads the Grand Cherokee with an impressive selection of safety features in its standard setup. Forward-collision warning is paired with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking to help you to avoid accidents. Adaptive cruise control is available for highway driving, which can adjust your speed and offers a lane-departure warning and lane-keep assist. Another standard feature is rear-parking sensors, which are often only available as an optional upgrade in other vehicles.

If you regularly travel with small children or pets in the back of your Grand Cherokee, the rear-seat reminder will come in handy. You can also add some additional safety extras, such as a driver-drowsiness monitor and night-vision assistance. The intersection assist feature uses sensors to help you to avoid collisions when vehicles are traveling from different directions at an intersection. Finally, the surround-view parking camera provides an aerial view of your Grand Cherokee so that you can maneuver into a parking spot with confidence.

Grand Cherokee’s Trims

The following seven trims are available with the 2023 Grand Cherokee: Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve. They all offer different interior features.

The base Laredo trim has a power-adjustable driver’s seat, cloth upholstery throughout the cabin, and a push-button start. You’ll also benefit from automatic climate control. One upgrade package includes heated front seats and steering wheel, while another will get you a sunroof.

The Altitude trim includes heated front seats and steering wheel as standard. It also adds leather upholstery, a power liftgate, and remote start and offers the sunroof once again. The Limited trim takes luxury to the next level with a power-adjustable passenger’s seat and heated rear seats. It’s also the first trim to offer the larger infotainment screen as an optional upgrade.

The main upgrades that are provided by the Trailhawk trim are great for off-roading, as they include improved suspension, standard four-wheel drive, and additional off-roading tech. It also includes several interior improvements, such as ventilated front seats, a sunroof, and a navigation system. Some of the optional extras on offer include a hands-free liftgate and the surround-view parking camera.

The Overland cabin is even more upscale, with Nappa leather upholstery, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a panoramic sunroof. You can add a head-up display, wireless device charging, and massaging front seats. The massaging front seats come standard in the Summit trim, along with intersection assist and the driver-drowsiness monitor.

The range-topping Summit Reserve adds ventilated rear seats and the 19-speaker premium stereo. You can add wireless device charging, a head-up display, and night-vision assist.
